What you can do without giving up anything
Reading, scrolling, and moving through the site collects no personal information. There are no marketing cookies, no third-party trackers on page load, no advertising pixels, and no consent banner because none is needed. Cloudflare Web Analytics runs on every page; it is cookieless, aggregates traffic into counts, and never identifies an individual visitor.
What the site technically receives, and why
Two things happen automatically when any website is served, and this site is no exception. Cloudflare operates the servers that deliver the site. To do that, it briefly processes your IP address, the pages you request, and standard browser information such as your user agent. Cloudflare uses this to route the request, defend against attacks, and produce the aggregate analytics on the same request. IP addresses are not written into the analytics results. Your browser connects directly to the servers, which means the same information reaches them whether Cloudflare provides analytics or not. It is inherent to using the web.
What you actively send, and what happens to it
The site offers three ways to reach Thabrew Effect. Booking a call: the Cal.com booking popup opens only when you click a booking button. It is a scheduling service; opening it sends your IP address and browser information to Cal.com, and any details you enter (your name, email, and anything you write) are held by Cal.com so a time can be confirmed and Dumidu can meet you. The popup does not load unless you invoke it. Cal.com's own privacy policy explains what they do with that information. WhatsApp: the site links to a WhatsApp chat. Opening the link is a normal WhatsApp conversation. Meta handles the message. Anything you write is used to reply, and, if the work goes ahead, to deliver it. Email: emailing thabrew@thabreweffect.com reaches Dumidu directly. The email and any attachments are used to reply, and, if the work goes ahead, to deliver it. Anything you send by any of these channels is never sold, never rented, and never shared with anyone outside the delivery of the work you asked for.
Why any of this is allowed
Where a legal basis is required, it is one of three, depending on what you did. You asked: booking a call, sending a WhatsApp message, or emailing is a request to be replied to. Handling your details for that reply is what you asked for. The site works: serving pages, protecting them from abuse, and counting traffic in aggregate are the ordinary interests of running a website, and none of it identifies an individual. You consented: if a future feature requires it (for example, a newsletter), it will be a plain opt-in, with unsubscribe on every message.
How long anything is kept
Cloudflare's routing and security logs are retained by Cloudflare on their own schedule. Cloudflare Web Analytics is aggregate, retained by Cloudflare on their own schedule, and nothing in it identifies you. Cal.com bookings are held by Cal.com, and by Thabrew Effect for the ordinary life of the professional relationship or the booking, whichever is longer. WhatsApp and email are kept for as long as the conversation is useful, and afterwards only where a tax or contract record requires it. Ask for anything to be removed and it will be, unless there is a legal reason to keep it; in that case you will be told why and for how long.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or removed, ask for a copy of it, and object to any of it being processed. If you are in the UK, EU, EEA, or Switzerland, the GDPR sets those rights out formally; if you are in California, the CPRA does. In practice the answer to any of them is the same: email thabrew@thabreweffect.com and it will be handled promptly, at no cost. If you are not satisfied with the response, you may complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK that is the ICO, in the EU your national supervisory authority, in California the CPPA.
Where things are
The site is served from Cloudflare's global network, so requests are handled from the location closest to you. Cal.com is a service based in the United States. This means information you send through the site may cross borders. Cloudflare and Cal.com both operate under standard transfer safeguards, and you can review theirs.
If anything changes
Material changes to this notice will be dated at the top. The site is maintained openly and revisions are visible in its history, so nothing is quietly rewritten.
